Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join our team in Wollongong, Australia. As an Urban Planner, you will play a key role in providing technical planning expertise and contributing to multi-disciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage site suitability reports, development applications, and Rezoning Amendments on behalf of clients.
  • Undertake planning-related duties on a range of project types, including land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning.
  • Provide mentoring and informal guidance to junior level staff, assist in assigning tasks, and reviewing reports.
  • Work effectively with individuals of diverse disciplines to achieve client expectations.
  • Complete all work in line with Stantec's Core Values and Quality Systems.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Design, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Proficient in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Planning system and legislation.
  • Experience in statutory and/or strategic planning.
  • Relevant knowledge of Australian standards and legislation.
