Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled medical practitioner to join our multidisciplinary programme. As a Specialist in Pain Medicine, you will be responsible for assessing and reviewing patients, collaborating with the team to plan treatments, and providing expert care to individuals suffering from chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and review patients to develop effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve physical and psychological functioning
  • Participate in research and education initiatives to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pain medicine

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Be a legally qualified medical practitioner registered or registrable with AHPRA without conditions, undertakings, or reprimands that could impact on clinical practice
  • Hold Fellowship of the FPMANZCA and relevant second specialty
  • Demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in Pain Medicine, particularly in multidisciplinary chronic pain management
  • Meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Pain Medicine
  • Experience in teaching and involvement in research are desirable
