Job Description

As a seasoned data governance professional, you will lead the design, implementation and optimization of Microsoft Purview solutions for our esteemed clients. Collaborating with a team of certified engineers, architects, and security specialists on high-impact end-to-end projects, you will ensure seamless data classification, retention, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365, data security and governance, as well as hands-on experience with data classification, sensitivity labeling, insider risk management, and retention policies.

  • Architect & Implement: Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions to align with organizational objectives.
  • Automate & Optimise: Develop automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, or APIs to streamline governance processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Integrate Security & Compliance: Align Purview with industry-leading security postures by integrating with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
  • Monitor & Enhance: Conduct regular risk assessments, compliance audits, and ongoing optimization of Purview policies and configurations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Advise & Educate: Work closely with clients to define data security strategies and provide guidance on best practices.
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience with data classification, sensitivity labeling, insider risk management, and retention policies.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, and Azure governance tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or automation tools for scripting and policy enforcement.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and Zero Trust security models.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, Essential Eight, etc.).
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, identity governance, and security operations is a plus.
