A top-performing Component Rebuild Leader is required to lead our rapidly expanding component repair department in Mackay.
Our component division delivers fast-turnaround, high-quality rebuilds to support client operations. This leadership role is offered on a 5:2 roster with 12.5-hour shifts, with flexible options available.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the component rebuild section
Supervise, mentor and support a team of fitters and tradespeople
Coordinate disassembly, inspection and assembly of heavy machinery components
Manage workflow, job scheduling and parts requirements to meet deadlines
Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained at all times
Conduct quality control checks and prepare detailed reports
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workshop organisation
Provide clear communication and progress updates to management and clients
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong experience in component rebuilds, ideally on CAT machinery
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Hands-on experience with heavy earthmoving equipment componentry
Ability to foster a positive team culture and lead by example
