Job Summary

The Craft Supervisor – Piping is a key role within the Piping discipline, responsible for overseeing and directing construction operations to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.

This is a FIFO role working a 3:1 roster based in Karratha, WA, with a strong focus on safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct Piping personnel, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Provide leadership on safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention, including safety orientation, preparation of safety procedures, and leading Bechtel and subcontractor safety meetings.
  • Ensure the most current design document is used to complete work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
  • Implement corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned piping operations.
Requirements
  • Strong supervision experience, including the ability to lead and manage change.
  • 8-10 years' experience in a similar role within the Heavy Industrial Field.
Preferred Skills
  • Effective communication skills to motivate team members and present plans in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating sub-contractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes.
