Waste Management Operative

We are seeking a reliable and experienced waste management operative to work in a landfill environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and be able to operate safely and efficiently.
About the Role- The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a safe and efficient operation of the landfill, including assisting in day-to-day organisation of tasks and exercising judgement in decision-making.
- They will also be required to provide excellent customer service skills, handle difficult members of the public, and work as a co-operative team member.
- In addition, they will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical plant used in operating the landfill, including weighbridge and gate house operations.
- Responsibilities may also include general servicing of plant and consulting with supervisors regarding staff performance and training.
- A current Victorian driving licence is required, along with a Heavy Rigid (HR) endorsement and Landfill plant competence certification.
- A Heavy Combination (HC) endorsement is desirable, as is a good level of physical ability.
- A Police Record Check and Pre-employment Medical are also required.
