We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Reptile Conservation Specialist to join our Life Science team at the Adelaide Zoo.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience working with reptiles, preferably in a zoological setting, and will be responsible for their daily care and well-being.

You will work closely with our curatorial team to design and maintain exhibits that meet the highest animal welfare standards.

  • As a key member of our team, you will participate in conservation initiatives, including behavioral enrichment programs and training and conditioning activities.
  • You will also contribute to the development of new exhibit designs and layouts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience working in a zoological setting, preferably with reptiles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as you will be interacting with visitors and providing public talks.
  • A Certificate III in Captive Animals or equivalent qualification.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
