Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of an Intermediate & Senior Business Services & Tax Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have 1-5+ years of experience in Public Practice accounting, with a strong background in business services and tax.

You will be responsible for delivering a full range of accounting and business advisory services to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare financial statements and ITRs for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts.
  2. Prepare and review complex tax returns for SMEs and HNWIs.
  3. Prepare BAS and IAS for clients.
  4. Provide complex tax advice to clients.
  5. Deal with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT.
  6. Assist with ad-hoc projects and audit assistance to clients.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  8. Comply with professional standards and relevant legislation.
  9. Provide technical advice to clients and manage a portfolio of clients.
  10. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data with all deadlines met.
  11. Support junior staff members with work papers and mentorship.
  12. Stay up-to-date with taxation laws and changes, and participate in training.
  13. Implement sound administrative and organisational processes.
  14. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  15. Proficient with MYOB AE/AR & XERO.

This is a high-end intermediate or senior role that requires a strong understanding of accounting and tax principles.
