About Us
We are seeking an exceptional Patient Flow Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our patient care services, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless transitions and efficient use of hospital resources.
This is a critical leadership role that requires strong organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. You will work closely with healthcare professionals across the organisation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a clinical or management role, preferably within a healthcare setting. A current registration with the relevant health authority and a high level of emotional intelligence would also be highly regarded.
Main Responsibilities:
- Patient Flow Coordination: Ensure smooth patient admissions and transfers, and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure timely discharges.
- Resource Management: Monitor and review existing patient placements, and develop strategies to optimise bed usage.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with colleagues and external partners to promote effective collaboration and information sharing.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with patient transfers and bed utilisation.
About You:
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate a solid understanding of clinical practices and procedures, particularly in areas such as patient flow and resource management.
- Leadership Skills: Exhibit strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Display sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
