Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our developmental specialist team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for child welfare and share our values in every aspect of their work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assume a leadership role within the Take Two program and support the clinical team leader in building and maintaining partnerships, as well as supporting the team to meet key performance indicators.
  • Complete secondary consultations with Take Two staff regarding occupational needs of infants, children, and young people, including providing consultation as part of the wider developmental specialist team.
  • Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments through Intensive Therapeutic Services and Fee for Service programs.
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians and students as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training requests for Take Two staff and external agencies.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and care teams to achieve goals within specified timeframes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor Level or Higher qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Experience working with children, young people, families, and carers, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of service systems, child development, trauma theory, attachment theory, and systemic work.
  • Experience working with individuals who experience neurodiversity and learning challenges.
  • Demonstrated motivation to provide best clinical practice for children, young people, and families.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide secondary consultation and upskilling of others.
  • Experience in the provision of clinical supervision.
