Job Title: Scientific Officer

We are seeking an experienced laboratory professional to join our team in a dynamic and engaged laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine procedures associated with day-to-day running within the toxicology laboratory, including urine drug and alcohol testing, and operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or equivalent, with demonstrated experience working in a toxicology/forensic/analytical laboratory. They will also possess strong knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and troubleshooting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine procedures and tasks within the toxicology laboratory;
  • Operating and performing maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, including immunoassay and LCMS;
  • Ensuring compliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocols;
  • Participating in staff training, method development, method validation, SOP and QAP reviews, and other tasks when required;
