Privacy Officer

This role focuses on providing specialist advice on the implementation of the ANZ Group Privacy Policy and supporting standards, ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and mandatory reporting of data breaches.
The successful candidate will contribute to the leadership team and work collaboratively on the overall team's priorities, providing strategic and specialist second-line defence oversight and compliance advice regarding the compliance management practices of the ANZ Group's business portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice to the business on interpretation and implementation of frameworks and policy.
- Provide oversight of the implementation of Privacy frameworks and policy.
- Contribute to the success of the overall Bank CRO team through contribution to the leadership team and working fluidly on the overall team's priorities.
- Assist the Executive Manager Compliance Advisory to manage and promote effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management by providing strategic and specialist second-line defence oversight and compliance advice regarding the compliance management practices.
- Support the breach management framework including assessment of regulatory reporting requirements relevant to breaches, advice to breach committees regarding breach incidents, rectification and remediation activities and support to develop regulatory breach notifications provided by the relevant business portfolio.
- Extensive years of regulatory compliance, risk management, legal or commercial experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Privacy requirements, regulatory guidance, industry codes and related processes.
- Strong collaboration and team skills. A demonstrated ability to bring together people and foster a productive culture across businesses.
- Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/risk-based manner.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise.
