About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people with low vision or blindness. You'll have the chance to work with a talented team, develop your skills, and contribute to our mission of creating a more accessible and inclusive society.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve our fundraising goals, including identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, ensuring that every interaction is tailored to their unique needs and interests.
  • Solicit major gifts through written proposals, face-to-face meetings, and email/phone asks, always striving to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and outcomes, providing valuable insights to inform future fundraising strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Philanthropy Manager to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Foster effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and suppliers to optimize major donor relationships and maximize fundraising opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fundraising and philanthropy, with a strong track record of success in securing major gifts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills, with proficiency in CRM systems.
  • A current driver's license or ability to travel independently.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where large dogs are present.
