We are seeking an experienced ICU Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients in the ICU
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform specialized medical procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide clear information and support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Current registration as a Nurse in the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit setting
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in high-stress situations
