About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Officer to join our team at Technical Resources. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the progress of all activities necessary for the timely issuance of inquiries, evaluation of tenders, and awarding of purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and engage with qualified vendors, and negotiate contracts that meet the project's technical, scheduling, and commercial requirements.
  • Commercial Analysis: Perform thorough analysis of quotations to ensure the selection of the most appropriate supplier, and negotiate prices and delivery terms to meet the project's needs.
  • Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with the project team to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with the overall project timeline, and that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Reporting and Monitoring: Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive reports on procurement activities, and monitor progress to ensure that all milestones are met.
Requirements
  • Experience: Over 10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, ideally within the engineering or construction sectors.
  • Skills: Proven experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems, strong knowledge of international and local tendering practices, excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to consistently meet high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, logistics, or business administration.
