Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and preparing for the development of all planned occupation operational planning work.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term maternity leave coverage role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the operational delivery of all occupations and Network change events, as well as coordinating and preparing the Network Readiness Plan.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee the Operational requirements of the occupation plan;
- Plan and coordinate activities in line with the Network Readiness processes;
- Capture all costs and monitor expenditure against the projected budget;
- Act as a key liaison for Yarra Trams Occupations to DOT and other transport operators – managing Yarra Trams Occupations schedule;
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop the Network Readiness Plan;
- Draft and submit Network Readiness Plans to DOT;
- Complete and Quality of Lessons learnt documents for planned disruptions including occupations (tram construction and special events);
- Continuously improve plans for reoccurring events;
- Coordinate Network change event risk assessments and evaluation;
- Recommend adjustments to all appropriate procedures and standard templates relating to the Network Events process within the Network Readiness procedure;
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years Transport Industry and/or Event Planning experience;
- Excellent operational understanding of Victorian public transport systems;
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritise tasks as an individual or for the team;
- Strong analytical, visualization and conceptualization skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Strong conflict resolution and Stakeholders management skills;
- Excellent planning, organisation, problem solving and prioritisation skills;
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment;
- Ability to promote ideas or solutions to network issues or constraints to management;
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve operational services timeframes;
- Strong attention to details and accuracy;
