The Recreational Care Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the experiences of residents day-to-day and providing an holistic approach to care as part of our team of Leisure and Lifestyle staff.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or Equivalent - a vital qualification for delivering engaging activities and promoting overall well-being.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Leisure and Lifestyle worker in the residential aged care sector (1-2 years +) - showcasing your ability to work effectively with residents, carers, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated experience in developing leisure and lifestyle care plans for residents in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards - highlighting your expertise in creating tailored plans that meet individual needs.
- A passion and enthusiasm for providing respectful, holistic care for older people and those with complex behavioural and care needs - a crucial aspect of this role.
- Highly developed organisational skills - essential for managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- An ability to problem-solve within a small team - demonstrating your capacity to collaborate and contribute to positive outcomes.
- Participating in the analysis and collation of data to influence change - showcasing your commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all residential aged care audiences - including residents, carers, families, staff, and managers.
- A strong commitment to high-quality care - reflecting our organisation's values and priorities.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team - highlighting your adaptability and willingness to collaborate.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills - critical for success in this role.
- A current Driver's Licence - ensuring you can travel safely and efficiently between locations.
