Job Title: Channel Manager

At Nine Entertainment, we're seeking a skilled Channel Manager to join our team. As a key member of our content strategy team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our content offerings across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft and implement data-driven content strategies to boost engagement and viewership.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives across owned channels and partnerships.
  • Manage daily content schedules and communicate the strategy to our team.
  • Classify and categorize content to ensure accurate audience targeting.
  • Collaborate with our Content Programmer to enhance visibility on our network.
  • Align content strategies with our Head of Editorial to support growth.
  • Monitor the BVOD competitor landscape for industry trends.
  • Manage license agreements with distributors and content creators.
  • Maintain daily transmission logs and provide reporting to content license partners and clients.
  • Brief our Design and Video teams for creating marketing assets for VOD and live channels.
  • Collaborate with our Partnerships teams on sponsored content integration.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of the television and BVOD market.
  • Knowledge of local and international content.
  • Strong editorial and curation skills for youth audiences.
  • Proficient in analytical and critical thinking, with experience in performance metrics.
  • Ability to analyze trends and leverage data insights.
  • Familiarity with content management systems; experience with Zype preferred.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in programming and content management.
  • Passion for television, film, and pop culture, aligned with our tone of voice.
  • Proven ability to plan and implement data-driven strategies and initiatives.
