Job Role:

A skilled Mason is required to work on various construction projects, including Limestone Block retaining walls.

The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry, possess strong leadership skills and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking plans and drawings, interpreting layouts, and ensuring accurate alignment of materials.
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, sealing foundations, and spreading mortar for base layers.
  • Laying blocks in rows, designs, and shapes, with neat pointing and finishes.
  • Smothing, polishing, and bevelling surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
  • Setting stone or marble in place according to layout or pattern.
  • Maintaining safety equipment and adhering to relevant rules and legislation.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in masonry, preferably with Limestone Block retaining walls.
  • Physical stamina and strength for working with heavy materials.
  • Leadership skills and effective communication.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as skid steers and excavators.
