Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our Airborne Solutions Engineering team in Cairns. As a B1 LAME/AME, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and modifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to a Zero Harm environment through active participation in safety programs.
  • Perform duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics, including avionics modification and maintenance.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in line with Aircraft Maintenance manuals, MOE, procedures manuals, and CAMO requirements.
  • Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop.
  • Compliance to FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE/HoM.
  • Be responsible for personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Report defects found during maintenance to certifying engineer.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizen.
  • Part 66 classic Dash 8 Rating (for LAME role).
  • Sound communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • Avionics modification experience.
  • Flexibility to travel at times.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering orders for modifications.
