Job Overview

As a Maintenance and Grounds Specialist with SA Health, you will be responsible for performing general facility maintenance associated with the interior and exterior of our health units. Your duties may include rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance. You will also be responsible for selecting, establishing and maintaining simple gardens, installing and maintaining a wide range of watering systems and formulating, preparing and applying herbicides, pesticides, weedicides or specialty fertilisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general facility maintenance associated with the interior and exterior of our health units
  • Conduct rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance
  • Select, establish and maintain simple gardens
  • Install and maintain a wide range of watering systems
  • Formulate, prepare and apply herbicides, pesticides, weedicides or specialty fertilisers
  • Provide assistance and guidance to other employees, including on the job training
