Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance Oracle databases.
  • Implement robust security measures, ensure timely backups and recovery procedures are in place.
  • Monitor database server performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Oversee high-availability and disaster-recovery processes to minimize downtime.
  • Liaise with external vendors and clients for seamless operations.
  • Provide on-call support and troubleshooting services as required.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Oracle database administration in a medium-to-large organization.
  • Expertise in IT operations, including deep understanding of database architecture, principles, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience managing database administration tasks, including backups, recovery, refreshes, sizing, performance tuning, and security.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Oracle Linux server administration.
  • Strong expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including Oracle Data Guard and Always On Availability Groups.
