Delivering Mental Health Support in Local Courts
About the RoleThe Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service requires an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 to work in an acute mental health setting.
- To assist the Local Court Magistrate with the diversion of defendants who have or are suspected of having a mental illness, mental disorder, or cognitive impairment from the Criminal Justice System into the community.
- Clinical assessment and evaluation of defendants in Local Courts.
- Development of comprehensive reports for magistrates recommending diversion options.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide ongoing support services.
- Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 qualifications and experience in an acute mental health setting.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Five years full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, with at least 3 years in an acute mental health setting.
- An annual salary range of $131,870.9 - $134,500.7 plus superannuation.
