Portfolio Manager Opportunity

Are you a skilled finance professional looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Manager to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.

This is a key position that sits at the intersection of Investment, Funds, and Asset Management teams. As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the assets team in managing operational portfolios, driving returns for investors, and ensuring project value is maximised.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen and financial modelling skills. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating financial models, updating them with actual operating results, and improving their accuracy.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and validating financial models to support portfolio management decisions.
  • Updating financial models with actual operating results to ensure accuracy.
  • Improving financial models by reducing risk of error and ensuring modelling aligns with actual project performance.
  • Facilitating quick decision-making with easily accessible models and restructuring significant changes to financial models.
  • Participating in quarterly asset valuations, refreshing financial models with updated assumptions and collaborating with various teams and external partners.
  • Assisting with asset and fund valuation reporting to Valuation Committees and performing scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess impact on asset returns.
  • Liaising with model auditors, answering audit questions, and making relevant changes and assisting with distributions and cashflows for operating assets.
  • Working closely with the Assets team to drive portfolio performance and assessing value creation opportunities across the operating portfolio and building business cases.
  • Driving automation in asset management reporting and processes.
