We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Fortescue. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of commercial outcomes that drive business growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing commercial support to stakeholders, working proactively as part of the sustaining capex projects team to deliver value through effective management of strategic supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contract management - developing and applying processes, procedures, systems, and knowledge to ensure optimum commercial benefit and minimal commercial risk
- Supplier relationship management - delivering value through effective management of strategic supplier relationships
- Category management and strategic sourcing – providing support in building appropriate category strategies that are aligned with Fortescue business objectives and managing the end-to-end sourcing process for allocated projects
- Negotiating – applying an effective process and understanding of each party's position to engage with suppliers
- Governance and risk management - ensuring business objectives are met through effective governance, compliance management, and the identification, assessment, and treatment of risk
- Analysis & reporting - effective analysis and reporting of relevant data at all stages of the procurement lifecycle
- Business partnering and commercial acumen - creating and maintaining credible and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure full alignment of procurement effort with business needs and opportunities

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary package of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide a range of benefits, including:
