Job Summary:

This role involves assisting the senior florist on a casual basis with various tasks including flower arrangement, event planning and customer service.

About the Role:

  • Assist with member floral enquiries, planning and executing for Private Member Events
  • Support the Senior Florist with themed arrangements for Club Events (i.e. Mother's Day, Christmas, Guest speakers)
  • Be available to work flexible hours, this includes morning, afternoon, weekends and public holidays
  • Occasionally attend flower markets and assist Senior Florist with purchasing flowers
  • Assist with the purchase and order flowers on a weekly basis
  • Assist with invoicing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Support the Senior Florist general duties, housekeeping and cleaning
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other staff
  • Providing a creative input into designing and maintaining the flowers and arrangements in the Clubhouse

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years floristry experience
  • Willingness to work creatively with other departments to achieve the Club's creative and style vision
  • An ability to produce floral arrangements/function themes within pre-determined budgets
  • Knowledge of floristry and experience with suppliers at the markets
  • Ability to meet and plan with members in regards to potential events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills displaying confidence but yet consideration when dealing with members
  • Display flexibility around seasonal peaks
  • Ability to work autonomously
