Job Title: Correctional Centre Visitor

This role involves inspecting and monitoring custodial centres in New South Wales, ensuring the humane treatment of inmates and addressing their complaints.

The successful applicant will work independently to conduct regular visits to assigned centres, gathering information and feedback from inmates, staff and centre managers.

About the Role
  • Visiting custodial centres to gather information and monitor conditions.
  • Conducting interviews with inmates, staff and centre managers to address concerns and issues.
  • Preparing reports on findings and recommendations for improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

A National Criminal History Record Check, Association disclosures and Working with Children Check clearance are also required.
