Power Quality Solutions Engineer

Our Power Quality division offers a range of products and services, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures, and services.

We are seeking an experienced Power Quality Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will work closely with customers to select and engineer products and solutions for DC UPS systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power quality products and systems, including large-scale UPS, DC power systems, and battery systems. You will be responsible for developing technical and commercial solutions based on customer requirements, preparing written proposals, and working with the sales team, end users, and consultants to understand customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical and commercial solutions based on customer requirements using Eaton and selected third-party products.
  • Prepare written proposals for submission to customers.
  • Work with the sales team, end users, and consultants to understand customer needs.
  • Build relationships with consultants, key customers, and the sales team.
  • Create mechanical and electrical drawings to support project submission.
  • Deliver presentations on Eaton's solutions to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide input for new product development and champion innovation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering are mandatory.
  • 3 years of experience in critical power products and systems, such as DC UPS.
  • Prior experience in commercial and bid engineering is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Good understanding of project costing and margin calculation is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
