Financial Analyst - Business Unit
The Financial Analyst - Business Unit will provide critical financial support to business leaders, driving informed decision-making and business growth. As a key member of the finance team, you will work closely with business leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business success.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
- Provide expert financial advice and guidance to business leaders, leveraging industry knowledge and best practices.
- Support bid teams in preparing complex bids and tenders, assessing financial and revenue recognition implications of bid structures.
- Participate in project review meetings, reviewing hours expended and estimates to complete, monitoring project billing milestones, and reporting WIP balance and aging or deferred revenue positions.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures and assist with audit responses as required.
About You:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent.
- Strong experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to review and approve complex bids and tenders.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to monitor and report on project financials.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Strong communication skills to effectively partner with business leaders and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and financial policies.
- Ability to train and mentor finance staff and managers in financial processes and procedures.
