About This Role

This position requires a skilled Mine Site Cleaner to oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations on an industrial site. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, good physical fitness and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean communal buildings and facilities including bathrooms, waste removal and grounds maintenance
  • Report directly to the Mine Site Manager and Village Manager – Operations
  • Maintain a reliable vehicle for travel to and from the remote location
  • Demonstrate experience in Mine Site Cleaning or a related field (2+ years)
  • Proven ability to work effectively without direct supervision
  • A commitment to regular travel to and from the site at own expense
  • A team-oriented approach and experience working within high-performing teams
  • Able to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Familiarity with Workplace Health and Safety (WPHS) standards and other industry cleaning protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of a Class C Australian Manual Driver's License and reliable transport with backup options
  • Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions in Central Queensland
  • A neat, tidy and professional appearance
Requirements:
  • Australian Driver's License (must be from any state) – International licenses are not accepted
  • Current Coal Board Medical and S11 certifications for Mine Site Cleaning
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
  • Recent National Police Check (within 1 month)
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia
  • Hold a current Food Safety Certificate or be willing to complete our free online certification
  • Possess a current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or be willing to obtain your own
