An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated
Site Fitter based at Yarrabee Mine site. Reporting to the
Customer Support Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and timely product and technical support services to our customers. This role also includes managing and strengthening customer relationships at the site level to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction.
This position operates on a
7-on, 7-off rostering permanent Day shift.
Key Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic, maintenance and component replacement services; including but not limited to:
- Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards
- Request required spare parts
- Operate field workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
- Diagnose faults, repair, maintain and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Diagnose and rectify minor electrical faults
- Repair damaged or faulty parts by machining & welding or fabricating new parts
- Lubricate plant and equipment
- Running adjustments to mechanical equipment
- Active involvement in the continuous improvement of the Product Support process
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Accurate completion of documentation including timesheets, maintenance requests and any customer/site specific documentation required.
- Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.
Qualification
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) / Mobile Plant Technology/ Fabrication/ Automotive Electrical Technology
Experience & Skills
- Experience with large hydraulic excavators (essential)
- High Risk Licences (LF, DG, EWP, Working at Heights) preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude
- Sound Micrsoft Office skills
- Experience with Liebherr mining equipment highly regarded
