Job Role Overview

The role of a Fuel Tanker Driver involves operating fuel tankers and completing scheduled deliveries to various service stations and customers.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of fuel tankers, handling fuel with care, and adhering to safety and environmental standards.

  • Operate fuel tankers and complete scheduled deliveries
  • Handle fuel with care, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Ensure vehicle loading and unloading operations are carried out under Terminal and SLP standards and are compliant with regulations set out in the Australian Standards for fuel handling and storage and apply all safety, security, and environmental standards
  • Process delivery transactions accurately
  • Maintain trucks and tankers in good condition, washing them frequently and ensuring the interior is clean daily

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Hold current MC driver licence and Dangerous Goods licence
  • Have minimum 3 years articulated driving experience
  • Understand BFM and Mass Management principles
  • Hold current terminal inductions to the Cairns fuel terminals
  • Be aware of the dangers associated with petroleum products and have knowledge of Dangerous Goods codes and practices
  • Be able to work from various locations, follow instructions accurately and expeditiously, and process documentation efficiently
  • Display effective oral and written communication skills, including mathematical abilities
  • Be self-motivated, display energy and enthusiasm, and work collaboratively with team members and customers to achieve organizational goals
