Transaction Banking Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly experienced transaction banker to join our team as a Business Development Director, Government. As a key member of our Institutional Bank and Markets segment, you will be responsible for executing the transaction banking business development strategy and driving growth in the government sector.
Key Responsibilities- Originate new transaction banking mandates and retain strategic government clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with treasury and state/federal government agencies to understand their payments and cash management needs
- Lead deal teams to respond to transaction banking tenders and proposal requests
- Collaborate with relationship coverage teams to develop and maintain client plans for key targets
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and market changes to inform business decisions
- Identify and take accountability for delivering continuous improvement opportunities across the team and stakeholders
- Transaction banking government experience at a major domestic bank
- Business development or solution consulting experience
- Self-starter with results-oriented mindset and a track record of achieving revenue targets
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial and/or data modelling, or process engineering
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
