Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Reconciliation Specialist to join our dynamic Market Reconciliation team. This pivotal role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions amounting to approximately four billion dollars in AEMO settlement charges encompassing electricity and gas.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates effectively with stakeholders, and is passionate about delivering precision and quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transaction Accuracy: Investigate causes of over/under charges in AEMO settlement, standing data, and 3-way reconciliations.
  • Charge Transmission Efficiency: Develop streamlined processes for accurate charge transmission to customers.
  • Project Execution: Execute revenue protection projects with Compliance, Risk, and Assurance guidance.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Support team by addressing systemic issues and proposing effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SQL.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high-quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the Energy industry is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend and drive a solution to completion.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of tasks as delegated.
  • Pro-active approach to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Tenured experience as a Business/Operational Analyst in similar or related businesses.
