We are continuously innovating and evolving technology to build networks better and connect communities. Our geospatial network construction platform enables telecommunication network operators and construction teams to digitise the construction workflow and cut the time and cost of large-scale fibre deployment.

As a Senior Software Engineer, specialising in APIs and Integrations, you will drive the development and management of powerful APIs that are built to scale. You will design and develop APIs, write clear documentation, build integration solutions, and collaborate with both internal and external customers to gather feedback.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs;
  • Be a proactive member of system scoping discussions, technical specifications and code reviews;
  • Establish and implement best practices for backend infrastructure focusing on scalability and reliability;
  • Create robust test cases for new API and integration capabilities;
  • Roll out changes and migrations to customers in an agile manner with backward compatibility;
  • Work with and mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and technical sessions;
  • Troubleshoot production issues across various service levels.
About You:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or relevant engineering field;
  • 6+ years of professional backend software development, including developing public-facing API products;
  • Experience working within AWS (API Gateway, Lambdas and the Serverless Stack);
  • Solid understanding of the full stack of technologies needed to build and run APIs;
  • Expertise in Restful API design and management, ensuring scalability and high performance;
  • Experience in micro services and designing webhooks or similar event based technologies;
  • Exposure to API middleware technologies such as Mulesoft, Apache Camel, or Workato;
  • Demonstrated use of AI technologies in the development and management of APIs and integration workflows;
  • Proficient in SQL, advanced database design, with a strong understanding of optimisation and performance best practices;
  • Production experience with observability tooling, Datadog, New Relic or similar.
