Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Accountant with Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consultative advice and support to internal and external stakeholders on various SMSF matters, including:
- Preparation and administration of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member's Statements, including Trustee Minutes and Section 290-170 Notices.
- Preparation and administration of SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries.
- Liaising with external auditors and other bodies such as the ATO and ASIC.
- Providing advice to colleagues and escalating any SIS compliance issues to assigned managers or directors.
- Assisting the wider team with the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs).
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Professional accounting experience working with clients in the Australian SMSF sector.
- High-level written and spoken communication skills, including report-writing and presentation skills.
- Solid analytical and critical reasoning skills, including interpreting and reporting financial data.
- An interest in working on a national level, liaising with interstate teams and clients as well as locally.
- Intermediate to advanced IT literacy, ideally including experience in the use of Class Super.
