We are seeking a seasoned lawyer to join our team as a Senior Legal Advisor.

Job Description

The role will involve providing expert legal services across the organisation, supporting its operations through advice on contracts, compliance, property matters, litigation, and broader regulatory obligations.

You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's operations. Your primary responsibilities include delivering timely, practical legal advice, managing complex legal matters, and supporting key projects and priorities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia, with at least five years' post-admission experience.
  • Current unregistered Queensland Law Society Practising Certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian commercial and administrative law, including regulatory frameworks and evolving government policy.
  • Demonstrated legal experience in complex organisations, ideally within higher education.
  • Ability to deliver ethical, independent legal advice on complex matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts.
