Production Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Specialist to fill an exciting opportunity in glass production. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager and be accountable for solving forming problems, examining faults and data trends, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to meet production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company safety and quality standards and promote adherence among team members.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of employment and legislative responsibilities, including those related to safety, anti-discrimination, HR policies, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to drive improvements in quality, safety, productivity, and workforce outcomes.
  • Investigate glass forming faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in coordination with relevant managers.
  • Conduct production inspections and adjust machine operations as needed to enhance product quality.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Requires over 7 years in Glass container manufacturing, specifically in glass conditioning, furnace, forehearth, and/or forming operations.
  • Has thorough understanding of the glass melting and conditioning process.
  • Possesses significant experience with Glass furnace colour changes in a forming or forehearth specialist capacity.
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Places the safety of themselves and their team above all else.
