Childcare Cook Job

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 92 children each day.

  • Prepare and cook meals that meet nutritional guidelines
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, stock ordering and control
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Ensure dietary and allergy-safe requirements are met
About the Role

This role requires a high level of skill in food preparation and presentation. You will work closely with our team to develop menus that cater to the diverse needs of our children. As a Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea for children aged 0-5 years
  • Cooking meals that meet the nutritional needs of young children
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth meal service
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification
  • Working with Children's Check and First Aid certification
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
