Job Title: Steam and Gas Turbine Fitter

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Services_EAPA team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on steam and gas turbines, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and conducting complex repairs and balancing tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on steam and gas turbines, including de-blading, re-blading, and rotor balancing.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, use protective gear, and maintain a high level of quality compliance.
  • Conduct precision measurements and inspections using specialized tools, documenting findings accurately.
  • Replace or repair mechanical components, including turbine gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearings, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Operate and maintain balance of plant items, supporting overall equipment efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
  • Trade Certificate III in Fitting & Turning or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting on turbines and/or rotating machinery.
  • Strong ability to manage workload effectively, maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver's and Forklift Licence.
