The role of Church Partnerships Manager plays a vital part in advancing Compassion's ministry across Victoria by strengthening and growing partnerships with churches.
This mission-critical position involves inviting churches into a deeper expression of their mission through engaging in child sponsorship, contributing to children being released from poverty in Jesus' name, while empowering churches to live out the Gospel in a practical and transformative way.
Responsibilities- Identify and grow new church partnerships in Victoria and regional centres;
- Cultivate and nurture existing partnerships with churches in Victoria and regional centres;
- Evaluate and develop local initiatives aligned with national strategies that enhance the mission of Compassion and meet the needs of partners;
- Work closely with other team members and the Strategic Partnerships department;
- Plan, prepare and lead presentations at churches in Victoria and regional centres;
- Build and strengthen relationships with the volunteer presenter team;
- Participate in domestic or international travel with strategic partners to facilitate increased understanding and engagement with Compassion's work, as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven ability to achieve key goals;
- Strong experience in lead generation and cultivating partnerships;
- In-depth knowledge of the local church context;
- A strong understanding of global poverty and community development through a biblical lens;
- Exemplary presentation skills;
- Experience working in Christian Organisations;
- Knowledge of philanthropic and fundraising landscapes;
- Experience in the For Purpose sector;
- Theological training and/or qualifications.
