Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to create timely and accurate data models for reporting and analysis. This role will involve producing and maintaining analytical models, visualizations, and dashboards in Power BI that support payroll remediation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and validating data via Snowflake and SQL Server to facilitate the delivery of routine and on-demand business reporting and remediation.
  • Developing, updating, enhancing, and maintaining visualizations in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
  • Preparing and executing algorithms for data mining and statistical analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Identifying inconsistencies and finding opportunities for improvement by cleansing and managing data/metadata to maintain its quality and integrity.
  • Determining the root cause of problems and evaluating multiple solutions to ensure a structured approach to solving complex issues.
  • Preparing and executing algorithms for data mining and statistical analysis for forecasting purposes.
  • Engaging with diverse stakeholders to understand their needs and develop targeted analysis and visualizations.
  • Driving innovation throughout the organization by developing analysis and visualizations that highlight optimization opportunities.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills. Proficiency in manipulating large datasets using various data analytics or programming languages such as SQL or other is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences are also required. A degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field is necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Power BI, Snowflake, DBT, and Gitlab.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL or other programming languages.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
