HR Business Partner & Return to Work Coordinator
About the Role:The organization is seeking a confident and capable HR Business Partner (HRBP) & Return to Work Coordinator (RTW) to collaborate with Operational Teams and Site Managers. This role will work across all sites, including six locations.
Responsibilities:- Manage complex Employee Relations matters, including investigations, grievances, performance management, and misconduct
- Provide expert guidance on Industrial Relations matters, including consultation, award interpretation, and workplace compliance
- Talent Acquisition and recruitment
- Onboard and induct new employees at all sites
- Evaluate contractual documentation and induction processes
- Develop content for Toolbox meetings related to HR or RTW
- Ensure HR practices align with relevant legislation
- Promote a values-aligned, inclusive culture through coaching, leadership development, and policy implementation
- Deliver HR-related training or contribute to its context
- Implement efficient and effective injury management and return to work processes
- Maintain and report on injury and compensation claims
- A minimum of five years' experience in HRBP or similar roles, with a qualification in RTW Coordination
- A strong background in employment law compliance
- Familiarity with the Fair Work Act, NES, and Modern Award application, as well as the Return-to-Work Act
- Resilience, professionalism, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- An ability to work independently and manage own outcomes
- The capacity to manage a busy workload and liaise with senior managers to influence outcomes
- Skill in multitasking and effectively managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and a collaborative working style that fosters engagement and trust among colleagues and leaders
- A strategic thinker who combines hands-on solutions-focused execution
- Proven knowledge and experience in Injury Management and Return to Work case management, including implementing, maintaining, and monitoring relevant systems
- Participation in workers' compensation reviews and regular reporting to management
- High proficiency in computer-based applications, including Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
