Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management of our water and wastewater services, including the Cloncurry Water Treatment Plant and the Sewage Treatment Plant.
- Asset Management: Develop and implement asset management plans to ensure the efficient and effective management of our infrastructure assets.
- Property Maintenance: Manage the upkeep and administration of our properties, including residential units, community housing, and commercial facilities.
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to our team, including staff, consultancies, and contractors, to ensure the successful delivery of our operational plan.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including the community, staff, and other council departments, to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
- Qualifications: A degree in engineering, science, or other suitable qualification, plus relevant industry experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated technical knowledge in the fields of water and wastewater collection, treatment, and distribution.
- Compliance and Reporting: Demonstrated knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements for water and wastewater service providers in Queensland/Australia.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in completing/coordinating the inspection, condition assessment, design, and costing for infrastructure maintenance, renewals, and upgrade programs.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills.
- Local Government Experience: Local government experience, preferably in a similar role.
