Accounting Professional - Bookkeeper Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as a bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures.

  1. Job Description:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and submitting tax returns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Managing client relationships and providing excellent customer service
    • Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers
    • Performing tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
    • Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all financial transactions and reports
  1. Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certified IV in bookkeeping or higher
  • Strong knowledge of GST legislation and its application
  • Proficiency in Xero, Xero Tax, and XPM Practice Management Software
  • Experience with receipt bank/Dext and Excel/Outlook programs
  • Excellent analytical thinking, articulate communication, and time management skills
