About the Role

We are seeking an expert Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Operations team. This role operates within the cybersecurity operations unit, a high-impact entity within our broader Data and Technology division.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats before they materialise.
  • Translate findings into actionable remediation strategies to reduce organisational cybersecurity risk.
  • Ensure readiness through regular tabletop exercises, playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities, incident response, and investigations end-to-end.
  • Contribute to maintaining an effective 24-hour incident response capability if needed.

About You

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and Zero-trust methodologies.
  • Experience with intrusion detection engineering and web application security.
  • Experience with bug bounty programs.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based Microsoft Security Products.
  • Experience with SIEM, UEBA, DLP, and related tools.
  • Australian Federal government (PSPF) experience is an advantage.
  • Practical certifications such as SOC-200, OSCP, HTB CTFS are advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in cyber, analysis, or engineering disciplines are preferred.
  • You must be an Australian citizen eligible for an NV1 Security clearance.
