Job Description

Meter technicians play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable supply of electricity to homes, businesses, and communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional customer service outcomes.

As a meter technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining meters to ensure accurate and timely readings. You will also investigate and rectify faults, both internal and external, to minimize disruptions and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain meters to ensure accurate and timely readings
  • Investigate and rectify faults, both internal and external
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve business objectives
RequirementsQualifications and Experience:
  • Qualification or certificate III in electrotechnology electrician; metering trade; or recognized equivalent qualification
  • Statement of attainment for competency standard units (compulsory)
  • Current refresher training records (compulsory)
  • Construction induction card (compulsory)
  • Car license (compulsory)
  • High risk licence (optional)
