General Manager Job

As a seasoned hospitality leader, you'll take charge of Oaks Darwin and drive its success through innovative strategies and exceptional customer service.

  • Develop and execute operational plans to maximise profitability and exceed EBITDA targets.
  • Oversee daily operations, financial performance, and property presentation, including Food & Beverage services.
  • Manage budgets, cost control, and workforce planning for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Implement improvements across front office, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
  • Lead and develop a customer-focused team aligned with the company's values.
  • Deliver outstanding guest experiences, addressing feedback promptly and monitoring online reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, external partners, and local communities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintain high standards of property cleanliness and presentation at all times.
Requirements

We're seeking experienced professionals with:

  • 5+ years of senior hotel/hospitality management experience, focusing on operations and revenue growth.
  • Proven skills in budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation.
  • Strong leadership to recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage guests, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in guest relations and delivering high customer service standards.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., CMS, PMS) and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills for multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety compliance.
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Business Management (desired but not essential).
  • Current RSA and relevant certifications (preferred).
  • Flexible availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
