Job Title: Front End SupervisorAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front End Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the exceptional customer experience and efficient operation of our front-end services.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Management
  • Develop, coach, and direct Front End Personnel to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Provide constructive feedback to promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Monitor employee performance, conduct reviews, and assist the Front End Manager with hiring and interviewing processes.
Operational Excellence
  • Implement and uphold proper safety procedures and standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate employee tasks, manage break schedules, and optimize register usage to maintain efficiency and reduce lines.
  • Resolve issues with the checkout process, verify prices, and override register system flags as needed.
Customer Service and Engagement
  • Respond courteously to member complaints and concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Provide exceptional service to members, employees, and suppliers, promoting a culture of respect and excellence.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate MPU accounting for merchandise within the MPU area.
  • Perform support duties for the Front End Management Team, including scheduling, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversee Member Service employees as needed and assist with staffing and marketing promotions.
Requirements
  • Higher School Certificate or higher.
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Emergency Warden certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Supervisory, leadership, or comparable experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and AS400.
  • Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Basic math skills.
