Job Description

This role is responsible for teaching English and another subject area to students at a large co-educational Year 7-12 Catholic college.

The successful applicant will be an expert practitioner in the design and delivery of the Australian Curriculum and ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) courses. They will have the ability to teach in a dynamic and creative way, utilising technology in the classroom.

In conjunction with teaching a range of Australian Curriculum and BSSS courses, our teachers are expert practitioners and leaders in curriculum design and resource development. Our teachers attend and lead professional learning and successfully use technology in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching English and another subject area to students
  • Designing and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Participating in professional learning and contributing to the development of curriculum resources
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
